Tools To Enable The Problem Solving Process

Building community and well-being are essential for transformational learning, yet we’re continuing to see and feel the impact of 4 years of disruption. Schools continue to be challenged in building and maintaining meaningful connections, ensuring everyone feels they belong. This is an opportunity to engage the whole school community to support well-being and build community with student voice and creativity. Now more than ever, students say they feel disconnected, face challenges in building relationships and connecting with peers in ways that also support their academic achievement.

Students’ guiding challenge is: How might we (re)build community at our school?

At I-Think we believe in many remarkable possibilities, which include customized experiences and programming that’s right for your school community. For example:

  • Supported by customized educator professional development and an incredibly engaged Principal – Anne Chirikal – a diverse group of students in grades 9-11 created the new mission and vision of Central Technical School in the Toronto DSB. Students engaged in community interviews, leadership interviews and peer focus groups as part of I-Think’s Real-World Problem Solving Journey, underpinned by Integrative Thinking.
