For a decade, the RJS Scholarship in Integrative Thinking has recognized exceptional students who embody the problem-solving spirit at the heart of I-Think’s mission. Established by Roger and Sue Short, Roger Martin, and Jennifer Riel, this scholarship represents a profound belief in young people’s potential to become transformative thinkers and leaders. As we mark its 10th anniversary, we celebrate not just the financial support it provides—$4,000 for each year of undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto—but the recognition that problem-solving skills unlock lifelong possibilities.

The scholarship’s legacy can be seen in the diverse paths its recipients have followed—from political science to biomedical physics, from art history to business. Each scholar demonstrates how integrative thinking extends beyond the classroom into varied disciplines and careers. This anniversary celebrates a decade of investing in students who approach challenges with tenacity, optimism, and confidence—qualities our world needs now more than ever. Through the RJS Scholarship, we honour both the remarkable potential in every student and the transformative power of believing in that potential.
