School Communities Deserve Well-Being

Students today are navigating stress, identity, connection, and pressure… often without the tools or time to reflect on or manage their own sense of well-being.

Students need to develop agency when it comes to their well-being. Excitingly, there is more understanding and research about what actions young people can take and skills they can build to support their own and collective well-being. It’s not as much of a mystery as it can sometimes feel. There are answers.

In this Challenge Kit, students will consider how the community can support their well being as they learn about:

  • Environmental Interconnectedness
  • Your Personal Harmony
  • Community Health

Students’ guiding challenge is: How might our  school community be partners with students to support their well-being?

This video is an example of the kind of informative and student-centered content included in the Well-Being Challenge Kit. Throughout the kit, students will hear from a range of diverse voices, offering different perspectives on aspects of well-being.

Students are encouraged to apply their learning to their school community and take action for collective wellness.
